Chris May is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and artisan whose creative journey spans textile design, screen printing, stage production, and music. Raised in Suffolk with an unconventional, free-spirited upbringing, Chris developed a deep appreciation for artistic expression from an early age. His apprenticeship at Vanner’s Silks refined his textile skills, while his time in London expanded his expertise into 3D prop-making, graphic design, and theatre production.

A passionate guitarist, Chris collaborated with legendary Hawkwind musician Nick Turner, contributing to the cult album Kubanakickassa. After moving to West Wales, he established a creative hub featuring workshops, studios, and performance spaces nestled in 30 acres of rural land. This center nurtures young talent through arts, music, and crafts.

Chris’s longstanding partnership with Glastonbury Festival includes creating the iconic Dragon Castle for its Kidzfield. His passion also extends internationally through video projects focused on the culture, music, and natural medicine of The Gambia and West Africa.

Chris May’s vibrant, multifaceted artistry continues to inspire and empower communities through authentic creative expression at musical events, workshops and classes in an old restored hay-barn in deepest Pembrokeshire, Wales.
