The Brisas Bengal collection is a design-led and curated selection of dry-felted wool and silk wraps, inspired by nature. Each piece is created by embroidering Felted Wool and loom crafted yarn onto a base of sheer organza mulberry silk.

Beginning with Snowy White, measuring 60 cm x 180 cm. It is handmade by weaving and fixing mulberry silk threads combined with organza silk threads to create the base fabric. This airy fabric is then hand-felted with fluffed acrylic yarn, giving it a soft feel and texture. In the Snowy White the hand crafted pink yarn is used to create the beautiful flowers intermittently appearing throughout the Shawl.

Next comes Pink Swirly, measuring 55 cm x 180 cm, individually handcrafted by a talented artisan who lays acrylic wool onto open-weave transparent silk, forming circular patterns. Each swirl is kantha-stitched into place on the transparent silk base, once completed another layer of or organza silk carefully encases the artisan’s work, ensuring that each swirl and fluffy yarn pattern is sandwiched between layers of silk.

Felted White, measuring 60 cm x 180 cm, is handmade by weaving white mulberry silk threads combined with organza silk threads to create the base fabric. The airy fabric is then hand-felted with fluffed acrylic yarn, resulting in an extra soft feel and texture. Pink yarn is used to create beautiful flowers on the white base. Once completed another layer of transparent silk carefully encases the artisan’s work, ensuring that each swirl and fluffy yarn pattern is sandwiched between layers of silk.

Next follows Floral Ascents, measuring 60 cm x 180 cm. This piece is also handmade by weaving white mulberry silk threads combined with organza silk threads to create the base fabric. The airy fabric is hand-felted with fluffed acrylic yarn, producing an extra soft texture. Pink yarn is used to craft beautiful flowers on the white base. The ends of the hanging silk threads are hand-twisted for the final elegant finishing touch of artisanal elegance.

Finally, Golden Swirly debuts, measuring 55 cm x 180 cm. This piece is like all Brisas creations is individually handcrafted by a skilled artisan who lays acrylic wool onto open-weave transparent silk, forming circular patterns. Each swirl is kantha-stitched into place on the transparent base. Another layer of transparent silk then carefully encases the work, ensuring that each swirl and fluffy yarn pattern is preserved between the layers of silk.
